This is the ultimate in Heli-skiing! The 5 Run Powder Adventure is the best way to get your Kootenay BC Powder Fix. The daily 5 run package is offered to more advanced skiers, as well as return cat/heli-skiers and boarders. With 5 Runs averaging 800-850 vertical meters each, you are sure to leave satisfied and eager for the next trip! Extra runs are also offered on the 5 Run Powder Package. This heli-ski trip is the best way to fully enjoy one of the most exhilarating activities on the planet!

What you can expect

If possible, check in with guest services staff a day or two prior to the tour date. By completing the necessary paperwork and ski rentals ahead of time, it helps make your visit to rk heliski even more enjoyable.

8:00am - Arrive and check in with the front desk staff, regardless if you already checked in a day or two earlier. Equipment rental will occur at this time and you will receive a numbered tranceiver holster.
8:00am - Fuel your body with a buffet breakfast in Chopper's Landing Restaurant & Lounge.
8:30am - Guide introductions and safety talks.
9:00am - Helicopter safety orientation.
9:20am - Groups and guides are assigned. Go over the proper use equipment and companion rescue training.
10:00am - Fly out to the first run of the day.
12:30pm - Picnic style lunch in the field.
2:30-4:00pm - Arrive back at heli-plex.
4:00pm - Enjoy apres-aki ambiance at Chopper's landing while sharing stories, photos, videos of your awesome day

Restrictions

  • Minimum age to Heliski is 14 years of age (proof may be required). In all cases the Guardian must ski with the minor every run. Also, it must be known that the Guide can cancel the minors skiing at anytime, if in their judgment the minor could jeopardize the safety or enjoyment of the other adult guests. They must also understand that if the Guardian stops skiing for any reason the minor will have to also
  • A waiver will be signed by the Guardian separately. A second waiver will also be signed by both the minor and the Guardian

Cancellation / Refund

  • Heliski package deposits/payments are non-refundable in whole or in part
  • If you choose to stop skiing prior to completing your package on any given day, no refund will be issued for the un-skied runs. Depending on circumstances, ski dates may be rescheduled or transferred to the following season. A minimum of two weeks notice is required and conditions apply
  • All skiers are expected to be in suitable physical condition to complete your purchased number of runs in your package
  • In the event that you have not purchased trip cancellation insurance and you are unable to ski on your confirmed ski date, RK Heliski will not be held responsible for refunding any portion of your payments received. Received payments are non-transferable to other RK Heliski programs

  • Prices are quoted in Canadian funds and do not include taxes.
  • Student pricing available - $944 per student. To qualify for the Student rate you must be a full or part time student attending a recognized secondary or post secondary Public or Private School, University or College and provide a copy of your student ID card or documentation.
  • Lower rate of $998 may be available for off peak dates.
  • All prices quoted are based on current 2016/2017 rates and may be subject to change for the 2018 season.
