Ultimate Rafting Trip

Rafting

Hydra River Guides/ Banff Adventures

Raft the big rapids on the Kicking Horse River! Starting with calmer rapids on the upper canyon, you can get to know your fellow rafters while enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Kicking Horse Canyon. Then it's on to the thrill of the big middle canyon rapids with Portage and Shotgun. With the Double Whitewater trip we do the class 4 section of whitewater twice! It's double the fun.

What you can expect

Your rafting trip includes all river rafting gear (wetsuit, fleece, spray jacket, life jacket, neoprene booties and helmet), BBQ lunch, drinks, dessert and instruction.

Meet at Hydra River Base for your designated tour time. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch before embarking on a 3 hour journey navigating the Kicking Horse River rapids.

You will start on the gentle upper canyon, where you can get to know your fellow rafters and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Kicking Horse Canyon. Then it's on to the thrill of the middle canyon with the Class 4 rapids of Portage and Shotgun. This is the most popular stretch of whitewater on the river. But if you think the fun ends there, you're mistaken! The middle section of class 4 rapids is so awesome, you do it twice! You can change spots in the boat and your guide takes a different line down the rapids, so the 2nd time around is just as fun as the first!
