This is Ziptrek’s legendary and original tour! Zip over the valley between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains while experiencing stunning aerial vistas above Fitzsimmons Creek. The five incredible ziplines on this tour range from 400 - 1100 ft and are joined by a network of suspension bridges, boardwalks and trails. In between ziplines guests will learn fun and interesting facts about the local natural environment.

What you can expect

Meet at the Carleton Lodge -15 minutes prior to the start time
Read and sign Release of Liability prior to participating
Meet with tour guides and get fitted with harnesses and helmets
10 minute drive - Whistler Village to Blackcomb Mountain base
Zipline between the two mountains directly over the river
Heated & sheltered platforms minimize element exposure
One guide to connect (launch platform) and
One guide to disconnect (landing platform) each and every guest
Light stair climbing and trail walking unassisted

To-bring

  • Small still and video cameras are allowed if you can secure them in a pocket or have a wrist or neck strap
  • Go Pro/Contour style helmet cameras with accessory straps will fit helmet provided
  • Own ski goggles on snowy days - if wished
  • In summer please avoid wearing insect repellent containing DEET
  • No bags, purses or backpacks are allowed
  • Wear suitable outdoor clothing
  • In winter - wear layers of outdoor clothing
  • Wear the same thing you'd wear skiing or snowboarding
  • In summer - wear comfortable, supportive athletic or hiking shoes
  • Closed toe shoes are required

  • An outdoor adventure activity that operates in all weather conditions
  • A maximum of 10 people on a tour and therefore can sell out quickly

Driving directions

  • The Carleton Lodge is at the base of Whistler Mountain across from the Whistler Gondola building.
  • If you're driving into Whistler from the South (Squamish/Vancouver), turn right at the lights on to Village Gate Boulevard (the main entrance to Whistler Village).
  • Follow the signs to the day skier parking lots - this is the best place to park. Walk from the parking lots towards the Whistler Village Gondolas.
  • Ziptrek Ecotours is located inside the Carleton Lodge right across from the gondolas - and next to the very well known Longhorn Saloon.
  • In the summer months, Ziptrek is on the main floor inside "Garbanzo Bike & Bean". In the winter months, Ziptrek is located downstairs in the same building.

Restrictions

  • Ages 6 years old and up
  • Minimum weight 65 lbs
  • Upper weight limit 275 lbs
  • Children under 65 lbs will ride tandem on 2 of the 5 ziplines
  • Please advise at time of booking if tandem zipping is required
  • Only 1 tandem space allotted per tour
  • Guest must be a minimum of 15 years old to zip without a guardian
  • All minors (18 years and under) require a guardian signature on their waiver
  • Every participant must read and sign our Release of Liability prior to participating

Cancellation / Refund

  • 24 hour cancellation policy for individual bookings
  • Groups of 10 or more participants require 72 hours notice
  • Ziptrek reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, foreseeable hazards, insufficient bookings, or events beyond our control. In these events, full refunds will be made or alternative dates offered
